The SIMET Mobile application serves as the mobile interface to the Internet Traffic Measurement System developed by NIC.br and CEPTRO.br, designed to assess the quality of Brazilian Internet connectivity.

With this tool, users can access a range of network performance metrics, including:

• Download and upload bandwidth speeds;
• Bidirectional latency ("ping") measurements between the device and our servers at the Internet Exchange (IX);
• Average jitter in the connection with our servers;
• Packet loss percentage during the test;
• For Wi-Fi connections, the app also evaluates local connectivity quality, specifically between the mobile device and the router.

Being a mobile-based application, SIMET Mobile enables testing across various locations, points of access, and service providers, offering a broad perspective on Internet performance.

The collected data contribute to the development of a comprehensive map by the Brazilian Internet Steering Committee, providing insights into the overall quality of Internet services nationwide.

All tests are conducted independently of your Internet service provider's network. No other Internet quality measurement app provides this level of transparency and support to the Brazilian community.
